FREEZE

Keep fresh unwashed greens in the refrigerator crisper for three to five days. Wash and drain in a colander before use.

If limp or wilted, soak kale in ice water after washing for 2 minutes then drain in a colander.

Greens can be blanched and then frozen for longer storage.

Submerge kale in boiling water for 3 minutes then submerge in an ice bath to stop the cooking process.

Store blanched kale in a freezer bag for a year or longer.
